I went there for the first time today and the people working in the pickup/drive through window were so rude. I drove up and I told them I had a pick up order he said "okay? Which one" and threw his hands up and pointed to the orders sitting next to the window I told him what I ordered and then he told me the total (which was reasonable). I then handed him my card and he pretty much snatched it from my hands. Didn't say anything came back brought me two receipts and a pen. I was waiting for my food then that's when he pretty much PUSHED the food in my window didn't even give me a chance to hand the pen or signed receipt back to him. Really bad customer service & the food isn't even that good. Noodles were pretty bland and the steak was over cooked. The veggies and the rice were good but it's kinda hard to mess up rice. Unfortunately, I won't be going back.

Best Japanese food in town. Dine in or carry out. They also have a drive thru which you can order when you arrive or call in a to-go order. The portions are very generous. I have been enjoying their food for 9 years now and recommend it to anyone that is in the High Point area.

I went to tokyo express yesterday afternoon, ordered steak and shrimp with onions,i ate most of it the only issue i ran into was the onions that were under cooked, also when i got home i spent a long time on toilet and ended up throwing most of it up don't quiet know why but i suspect tokyo express.

The food was good but they need to use different take out containers. My container melted slightly so the noodles tasted like melted plastic. If memory serves me correct this seems to be an ongoing issue because I am sure it happened last time I ate there which was about a year ago. I hope they can take care of this problem. All I can say is be leery about getting takeout there because of the styrofoam takeout containers.

Great food, Always so good to eat there. But We always order the same thing and it seems like prices change based on the person taking the order.. 🤷

Never have I been to a japanese restaurant that served me spaghetti when I ordered noodles instead of rice. When I asked for a manager they said no manager is there until 5. I dont know who owns or runs this place but they need to step up their game. Order was remade with rice. Taste was good

Fast and delicious hibachi food here. Decent portion for the price. My favorite quick place to grab some teriyaki hibachi chicken in High Point. I've at here for years.

There are so many dishes that are delicious here!! It's all yummy and hot!

The meal I ordered was near closing time. When I got home the vegetables were terrible overcooked to the point that we ended up throwing our meals away. The next day I asked if we could have the meals replaced or a refund issued. The owner refused. Do not purchase a meal from this restaurant unless you are dining in. I expected better customer service.

Don't get me wrong, the food is incredibly tasty, much like any other Japanese place. Problem is, it's at a premium from Chinese food, which I never understand. What I mean is, you're looking to spend 12-15 buckaroonies, and you might leave not feeling full. Chinese food is half that and leaves you with a ravaged (but full) stomach and a brown colony in your toilet.

This was an enjoyable place to eat. The food was very fresh and delicious! I did take off a star for how oily the food was.! It seemed to pool on our plate it was so oily...Other than that, I enjoyed eating here and will probably be back in the near future!

Tokyo really needs to get an updated drive though and and updated phone number. I attempted calling my order in but there number keeping saying that in was no longer in service. So waited at the drive though for 50 mins and my chicken hibachi arrived without chicken. And now I can’t even call in and I’m definitely not waiting at the drive thru for another 50 mins.

The exterior and interior can use some updating to provide customers with a lot more cozy comfort. However, I ordered to go and loved the flavor of the meats and how fresh the vegetables were.

The setup is a bit crazy. The drive thru is a trap and you can't get out. Not really any parking but the food is good. Sometimes the rice is a bit sticky more mushy but for the most part it's good. Gives you a good amount of white sauce also.

I always order the teriyaki chicken!!! Great sweet tea and white sauce.

Friends, This is NOT Japanese food. It is not even Chinese food. It is not fusion, either. I don't mean any disrespect to the restaurant, and this is my honest review. Hibachi is overcooked, white rice, soy sauce, MSG, black pepper, broccoli, carrots, and onions. That's it. No flavor, except from the heavy use of MSG. No cuisine. And Not Japanese. Also, tried the spring rolls, which were made with too much fried dough, with very little cabbage inside, again no flavor, hard to bite through it was so thick with fried dough. I am completely surprised with all the excellent reviews, and I have to assume that these are the same people that voted for Taco Bell as America's number one Mexican Restaurant. Skip this and keep searching...

For many years this has been my go to Japanese. Food has always been fresh and tasty. Service is pretty fast. Only reason not giving it a 5 is because it seems over time the prices have gone up and the amount of food you get has gone down. Overall if I've got a craving for it and I'm in the area I'll stop here.

Very respectful and the food Is unlike anything I've ever had in my life. Love the hibachi rice with shrimp and chicken and the yum yum sauce is delicious. So good

Food was pre-cooked, chicken "stale" and crusty from sitting on the grill and the veggies are gooey. Not bad, but not fresh. In defense, the food is good immediately, but if you plan for leftover a late-night snack...go elsewhere for fresh ingredients. Also, the shrimp sauce seems watered down, compared to other similar places. Friendly service. Cannot beat the price... However, I vote to skip this place unless you're tight on cash, or you want a big cheap meal.

Great food! Very generous portions. Love love this place. The noodles are as close to steakhouse quality as I have found. White sauce is fantastic too!
